"Historic St Augustine"
Dimension 36' x 48', Pencil on canvas by Daniel Austin. Part of the study: Capture live the objects in their environment". One of very few Austin realistic work. Here is the story of this artwork. Austin was leaving in Jacksonville,Orange Park. He went to visit St Augustine and failed in love immediately for the city. The historical landmarks of this city are so amazing and so well conserved that Austin wants to recapture them on his canvas. Austin spent the next three months working tirelessly every day in St Augustine. He even have a given name "The Artist". Please pay very good attention to the details. All the symmetric lines are done with hand, no ruler or picture were used during the stake. For each Landmark, Austin went to stand in front of the building in order to capture the details. He wants to leave you an impression that you can see the city life in front of you. A piece of museum art. Austin hope one day this artwork will be part of the city of St Augustine cultural heritage.
