Dimension 36' x 40', oil on canvas by Daniel Austin. A panoramic view of the historic Citadelle la Ferriere in Nord,Haiti. This Fortress was built during the 18th century by the Haitian king Henry Christopher to protect the new Republic from the French invasion. Today it is part of the world architecture preservation and considered to be the eighth wonder of the world. His sense of perspective take your eyes to the fine details of this fortress. Just as looking on a place or a building to an aerospacial view. Even though, this painting has no comparison. By zooming the painting you can see the definition of roads and the shadows under the threes. This historic landmark is one of Austin very few realistic works.
